Coronavirus (COVID-19) update:
All Parks and Recreation programs are cancelled from Saturday, March 14, 2020 to Wednesday, June 10, 2020.
As the Governor of Virginia eases restrictions, and the state moves into Phase 2, please remember to #recreateresponsibly. New Kent Parks and Recreation has not moved into Phase 2. We plan to release our Phase 2 plan later next week. We appreciate your patience and support as we assess and evaluate the overall safety and well-being of our community.
At this time, the below parks are open. Please remember that if you are sick-stay home, practice social distancing of at least 6 feet, recreate with no more than 10 people, wash or sanitize your hands often, and use at your own risk. Fields are not open to organized teams, practices or leagues at this time.
* Wahrani Nature Trail including shelter and play area
* Historic School Fields 1 - 5
* Quinton Park walking trail, playground, shelters, open space (basketball court/pickle ball remain closed)
Summer Recreation Day Camp registration began in Phase 1. The camp is scheduled to start June 29, 2020 and is on a wait list. We plan to announce programs for July/August and open registration
during Phase 2.
